An arm for an arm, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a fang…
BBC reports that A Nepali farmer took revenge on a cobra snake by biting and killing the snake after it had attacked and bitten him.  The farmers name is Mohammed Salmodin and he was working his rice paddy field when he stumbled upon a cobra.  Mohammed stated that “A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you”.  Mr. Salmodin reported that after he bit the snake to death he continued his normal daily routine before his family finally got him to go to the hospital.  This snake bite accident took place on Tuesday in a village approximately 125 miles south-east of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.  The snake that Salmodin bit was reported to be a common cobra, which is venomous.  BBC also reports that an estimated 20,000 cases of snake bites occur in Nepal every year.  This incident is not the first of its kind.  In 2009, a farmer in Kenya was attacked by a 13-foot python that dragged him into a tree.  The man escaped by biting the snake on the tail.
